AUSTIN, TX (December 21, 2011) - Denham Springs new football field project will kick off December 27. Hellas’ construction crews will be on site to start preparing the field for the installation of a Cushdrain® pad and Matrix® synthetic turf. The product combination was selected carefully both by the School and the Architect involved in the project.

Alan Amos, architect with Alvin Fairburn & Associates said important factors in the selection process were the temperature of the turf and a contractor that could “do it all.” Hellas builds, manufactures and installs its products with the company’s own construction and installation crews. “Having one point of contact for the project was a key factor,” says Amos.

Dru Nettels, Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Denham Springs is excited to switch from grass to synthetic turf. “It will be a tremendous addition for the High School, Junior High, youth and soccer leagues that will all benefit from the upgrade,” says Nettles. Denham Springs is one of those schools that have a large variety of sporting events on the field year around and graduation, so the installation of synthetic turf will help in terms of maintenance and lessening down time.
