World’s Top High School Talent Gears Up For 2013 International Bowl On Matrix Turf

Round Rock, Texas (PRWEB) February 05, 2013 - The International Bowl is a game unlike any other in high school football. This evening in Round Rock, Texas, a football game of worldly proportions will take place on Matrix Turf. The Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex was upgraded in 2010 with new Matrix Turf – the finest synthetic turf system available and only from Hellas Sports Construction.

While Matrix Turf may be utilized for soccer, lacrosse, rugby and various other field sports, the turf system installed at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex is specifically optimized for football. Key performance features, which will make a big difference this evening, are the system’s enhanced shock absorption and attenuation, optimal traction, minimal fly-out, and sliding characteristics similar to that of natural grass.

The Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex is owned and operated by Round Rock ISD, and is utilized on a regular basis by the Round Rock Dragons, McNeil Mavericks, Westwood Warriors, Stony Point Tigers and Cedar Ridge Raiders. Team USA leads the International Bowl series 2-1. Team USA is a combination of the finest high school football players from the United States while the World Team is comprised of the best high school-age football players from the rest of the world. The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) hosts the event.

On Wednesday morning, following the International Bowl, USA Football hosts the largest signing day event in the country. IFAF athletes from both teams make the transition from being a high school athlete to a collegiate athlete by signing their official letters of intent.
