BEEVILLE, Texas (May 16, 2014) – The Beeville Independent School District is kicking off their 2014-15 season for the Trojans with new athletic fields and tracks being constructed by the Austin-based contractor Hellas Construction.
Beeville Independent School District was specifically thrilled with the idea of having one contractor on campus that could do all the work for them handling their construction and surfacing needs without having to hire various subcontractors to do the work on site.
Jimmy Mitchell, Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Beevillle Independent School District said, “It gives us great confidence that we have a group as experienced as Hellas upgrading our athletic facilities. Their professionalism and work ethic are evident as soon as they arrive on your facility!”
The project cost is almost $3 million and includes the demolition of the current installations and the placement of a new synthetic turf field and field events with the epiQ Tracks 200 surface. Hellas Construction will install its Matrix synthetic turf for baseball, softball and practice fields and a parking lot for the field areas. The project also includes a concession and ticket booth building.
