IRVING ISD GETS THREE MATRIX® SYNTHETIC TURF FIELDS IN ONE FELL SWOOP

Hellas awarded another start-to-finish multi-field project

Austin, TX (May 22, 2015) — Irving, Nimitz, and MacArthur High Schools contracted Hellas Construction to convert their fields from natural grass to Matrix® Synthetic Turf, which broke ground in the beginning of this May. All projects will be constructed and completed simultaneously in time for football season this fall.

All three high schools are located in Irving, TX, former hometown of the Dallas Cowboys who also play on Matrix® Turf. Irving ISD chose Hellas Construction for a superior product at the best price and service that started with a previous running track project that was completed in 2009. The multi-use facilities will have new construction and a Cushdrain® pad underneath the turf, a paved-in-place elastic layer to increase shock absorption, or G-Max.
