Hellas Provides Fast Replacement Service for Hendrix College

AUSTIN, TX (June 12, 2015) — Hellas returned to Conway, AR to install Matrix® Turf at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium for the repeat customer Hendrix College. The $468K project broke ground May 19th and was completed on June 6th, wrapping up in a short 2 ½ weeks. Most jobs with a similar scope typically take between 4 to 6 weeks.

Hendrix College replaced their existing Matrix® Turf with new Matrix® turf, adding REALFILL™ infill to their turf system. The original infill was bagged up and is slated to be recycled and used for campus landscaping. This is just one of the many ways in which Hellas is making strides to help organizations be more environmentally responsible.

Additionally, to ensure longevity and optimal performance, Hendrix has purchased a full service maintenance plan with Hellas for their new field. As a part of this plan, Hellas thoroughly cleans and revitalizes the field using the Clean Sweep® field sweeper.

“Our experience with Hellas when the original turf was installed in 2006 played a key role in our decision to give [them] our business again when it came time for replacement,” said Loyd Ryan, Associate Vice President and Director of Facilities at Hendrix College. “Hellas has proven over the past nine years that [they] are there to help over the life cycle of the turf, not just through the installation process.” Ryan added, “the new turf looks great, and our Athletic Director, coaches and players are more than pleased.”
