AUSTIN, TX (February 18, 2016) –
St. Bernard Parish President Guy McInnis led a groundbreaking ceremony for synthetic turf that will be installed at Val Riess Baseball Fields on Phase II. The multi-purpose complex, located at 1101 Magistrate Street in Chalmette, hosts a number of games including children’s and Adult leagues and outside tournaments. The project includes new turf on fields 5, 6, 7 and 8 and will cost of total of $600,000.00. The Contractor for the project is Hellas Construction and the Engineer is Meyer Engineer, Ltd.
