Austin, TX (July 14, 2017) –
Mesquite Independent School District is once again using Hellas Construction for its quality and construction to install new running tracks at Kimbrough and McDonald middle schools this summer. Hellas crews are hard at work completely removing the old tracks that date back to when each school was first built.
Steve Bragg, Mesquite ISD Athletic Director since 2007 said, “I always enjoy working with Hellas. They are truly a one stop shop and you always know what you are getting.”
Both Kimbrough Middle School and McDonald Middle School are having their tracks torn out and completely rebuilt from the subbase. “They both had the old cinder tracks that had never been done before,” said Bragg. “The cinder tracks just aren’t as durable or reliable as the asphalt-based tracks.”
Bragg said he has used Hellas for 13 different campuses throughout the school district. “The quality and construction is always first rate and their products hold up. You can’t go wrong with Hellas,” Bragg said.
Mesquite ISD selected the epiQ Tracks® S200 track system, a paved-in-place system made from Hellas’ own eco-friendly, non-petroleum based materials and suitable for any facility. Both middle schools will be black S200 track systems, ready just in time for the beginning of school in August.
