About
Austin, TX (Sep 5, 2017) –
As the flood waters recede and the long process of cleaning up begins, Hellas is here to help the schools in over 50 Texas counties get their athletic facilities back in shape. Hellas is offering a complimentary assessment of sports facilities in the counties that are declared Federal disaster areas in Texas. Crews will be available to assist with needed emergency repairs.
“We are saddened to see such catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey. Our thoughts are with the schools, students, and members of the community as the process of assessing, cleaning, and rebuilding begins,” said Hellas President and CEO Reed J. Seaton. “We want you to know that Hellas is ready to help.”
Hellas was on site at C.E. King High School’s Crenshaw Memorial Stadium today where their field had been flooded with several feet of water. Now that the field is drained and dry, Hellas crews are performing a deep clean of the field, removing debris and dirt and then disinfecting the turf. The Clean Sweep from Hellas will sweep and remove the dirt, twigs, leaves, and other debris while redistributing the infill so the field will be ready for play.
Hellas is partnering with Venture Sports Consultants, LLC and Tait-Pitkin Sports Engineers to inspect and survey damage across Texas. They can assess any outdoor athletic facility or sports related surface. Hellas has set up a special email designated just for Hurricane Harvey repairs. Please send requests to
