About
Austin, TX (January 9, 2018) –
With over 35 years in the sports education industry, coaching students and leading athletic programs to new heights, Bob Jones is now creating his own strategy for success as a business development manager for Hellas Construction. He has served athletes and school districts across Texas, most recently Bastrop ISD, where he served as athletic director for the last two years. Now he is embarking on a new position and with a new team.
“There are butterflies,” said Jones as he walked into Hellas his first day. “It’s a different kind of butterflies. It’s an exciting feeling to start a new career. It is a little scary, but I am putting a game plan together. I am setting up dates and meetings, along with making a list of things I need to do,” Jones said.
Hellas came calling on Jones during football season this past fall. “They called me,” Jones said. “I have known them for years though and we have always had a good personal relationship.”
He has worked with Hellas President, Reed J. Seaton and Business Development Managers Randy Bullock and Jim Loerwald, and many others at Hellas throughout the years on athletic facility projects, while working in school districts all over Texas.
“I have seen the quality product they put out and the pride all the employees have in their work,” Jones said. “They work hard for their customers to make sure the job is done right. Why wouldn’t I want to work for the best company out there serving athletics?”
Jones has contacts in high schools, colleges, and professional leagues across the country that he hopes to reach out to with the news.
“It’s a product I can put my name behind and help my friends provide the best facilities for their kids,” Jones said. “It’s an opportunity to stay involved in athletics and use my experience and skills to help others. I am preparing just as I would before a big game,” he said. “Now, it’s time to get out there and make it happen.”
